Heavy rains since June of this year have caused severe floods in several southern provinces in China.According to the National Meteorological Centre on July 7, the Yangtze River Basin received the second most rainfall in nearly 60 years between June 1 and July 6 this year, even surpassing 1998.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Emergency Management, as of 14:00 on July 10, the terrible water logging disaster have caused 33.85 million people to be affected in 27 provinces this year, left 141 people dead and missing, affected 2,983 thousand hectares of crops. Total direct economic losses reached 69.59 billion yuan.
